Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Technical certifications in HVAC electrical or plumbing preferred
  • Proven experience in preventive maintenance programs and project management
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems plumbing and electrical systems
  • Excellent supervisory skills and team leadership abilities
  • Solid understanding of budgeting principles and facilities management
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand walk and climb stairs for extended periods
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions including heat cold and noise
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certifications in HVAC electrical or plumbing preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience in preventive maintenance programs and project management
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems plumbing and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices and maintenance management
  • Excellent supervisory skills and team leadership abilities
  • Solid understanding of budgeting principles and facilities management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Certified Engineering Operations Executive (CEOE) or similar certification preferred
  • Experience with hotel maintenance management systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of the engineering and maintenance team including hiring training and performance management
  • Develops and implements preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan
  • Manages the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency
  • Oversees plumbing and electrical systems maintenance ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Manages and tracks the engineering department's budget ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial guidelines
  • Leads and manages facility-related projects ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards
  • Ensures the effective management of the hotel’s facilities addressing maintenance requests and resolving issues promptly
