Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- minimum of two years of related experience in building management or engineering
- strong track record in profitable engineering management
- familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred
- minimum of three years of managerial skills with experience in meeting deadlines, contract negotiations, and large-scale project coordination
- ability to schedule, manage, and delegate work effectively
- excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- ability to read and communicate verbally and in writing
- computer literate in MS Word and Excel
- strong mathematical skills to prepare budgets and calculations
- commitment to company operating principles and philosophies
- effective team leadership and conflict resolution skills

- ability to maintain open communications and employee relations

Job Duties
- direct all facets of engineering
- keep abreast of brand standards and competition products and strengths
- use business and management knowledge to provide leadership and assist general manager
- implement and comply with company policies and programs
- ensure compliance with brand standards and regulations
- maintain optimal quality service and hospitality
- walk property daily to identify issues and communicate with associates
- ensure preventative maintenance programs are in place and promptly address maintenance problems
- inspect and evaluate condition of engineering areas, equipment, and inventories
- investigate, analyze, and report on incidents and accidents
- coordinate activities and liaise with law enforcement and insurance agencies
- generate cost comparisons and solicit bids or proposals
- direct all emergency programs including staff training and recordkeeping
- promote accident prevention program and ensure safety procedures
- ensure associates are properly trained on company assets
- communicate with department heads regarding maintenance needs
- provide clear direction and supervision to staff
- conduct disciplinary action as required
- ensure high customer satisfaction and build long-term customer relationships
- respond to guest problems and complaints effectively
- emphasize guest satisfaction in meetings
- demonstrate commitment to company operating principles
- hold self and others accountable
- address conflict timely
- contribute to team results
- make informed decisions and commit to actions
- conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports
