Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods
  • capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
  • manual dexterity and visual acuity required for equipment repair and inspection

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an engineering manager in a luxury hospitality setting
  • relevant technical degree or trade certification required
  • strong leadership and team development skills
  • excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
  • ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call as needed

Job Duties

  • Lead day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring timely response to guest and operational needs
  • oversee and implement preventative maintenance programs for all plant and equipment
  • manage departmental staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance development
  • monitor and manage engineering budget and payroll in alignment with business needs
  • ensure compliance with life safety and occupational health standards
  • coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs
  • support energy efficiency initiatives and report irregularities to the General Manager
