Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods
- capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
- manual dexterity and visual acuity required for equipment repair and inspection
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as an engineering manager in a luxury hospitality setting
- relevant technical degree or trade certification required
- strong leadership and team development skills
- excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call as needed
Job Duties
- Lead day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring timely response to guest and operational needs
- oversee and implement preventative maintenance programs for all plant and equipment
- manage departmental staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance development
- monitor and manage engineering budget and payroll in alignment with business needs
- ensure compliance with life safety and occupational health standards
- coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs
- support energy efficiency initiatives and report irregularities to the General Manager
