Job Requirements

- Proven experience in hotel engineering or facilities management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
- Technical knowledge of electrical plumbing HVAC and general building systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- High school diploma or equivalent additional technical certifications or degrees are a plus
Job Duties
- Direct and coordinate all maintenance activities within the hotel including routine preventative and emergency repairs
- Oversee the maintenance and houseperson staff providing guidance performance evaluations and support
- Collaborate with management and staff to plan schedule and prioritize work orders tasks and special projects for the engineering team
- Perform daily inspections of property grounds and work areas to ensure cleanliness safety and adherence to hotel standards
- Ensure all safety equipment and conditions are compliant with local codes and regulations
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests ensuring courteous service and timely resolution
- Monitor and maintain all safety protocols including proper safety equipment and procedures to safeguard staff and guests
- Manage budgets related to maintenance operations and ensure cost-effective use of resources
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or projects
