Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in software development
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
  • Familiarity with software development metrics and improvement methodologies
  • Participation in on-call rotations
  • Ability to work hands-on and manage teams simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in PHP, React, Typescript, and jQuery development
  • Proven track record as an engineering manager or team leader
  • Familiarity with software development metrics like cycle time, throughput, and velocity
  • Knowledge of The Phoenix Project, Accelerate, or Gene Kim's work
  • Experience with on-call rotations such as PagerDuty
  • Ability to balance individual contributor and managerial roles
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Act as a PHP/React/Typescript/jQuery developer for web application 50% of the time
  • Act as an engineering manager for developers and QA team members
  • Improve team metrics including cycle time, throughput, and velocity
  • Manage on-call rotations such as PagerDuty
  • Lead teams through change to enhance culture and productivity
  • Ensure 80% commitment accuracy in delivery projections
  • Maintain bug SLA turnaround
  • Foster high employee NPS scores
