Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in process development in the consumer products industry or a related area
- Working knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Ability to work within a quality-driven and safety-focused manufacturing environment
- Willingness to travel flexibly on short notice
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Capability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of process development experience in the consumer products industry or related area
- Working knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, OSHA, and EPA requirements
- Experience in scaling up product formulations from lab to production
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical and manufacturing data
- Strong collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Proficient in generating technical summaries and reports
Job Duties
- Provide technical expertise and innovation as an interactive member of technical cross-functional teams
- Develop and coordinate activities related to technology transfer for introducing formulas to production
- Maintain awareness of new technologies related to design and manufacturing
- Issue process development summaries and schedule project status updates
- Provide project estimated costs, delivery, and resource timing information to program managers
- Design with manufacturability, compliance, and safety considerations
- Interpret SPC data and liaise with formulation chemists to develop batch processing instructions
- Design and execute lab or pilot plant experiments to optimize processes
- Identify problems, suggest solutions, and record and report results
- Scale-up formulas from laboratory to pilot plant and from pilot plant to production
- Assist with troubleshooting plant production issues
- Represent R&D and occasionally Quality departments at internal and external scale-up and validation activities
- Prepare paperwork and samples for delivery to Analytical and Micro labs
- Generate and maintain process development history files
- Provide technical assistance to less experienced technicians
- Represent the company/department in internal and external meetings
- Maintain readiness and record-keeping of the pilot plant
- Adhere to 5S and cGMP policies
- Travel flexibly on a short-term basis when required
