Job Requirements
- bachelors degree in chemical engineering or petroleum engineering
- shift work required
- 1-2 years experience in refining, distillation, isomerization, methane pyrolysis
- high attention to detail in calculations, design, and operations
- ability to develop process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, I/O diagrams, and process control strategies
- ability to communicate clearly and interface with clients
- ability to conduct tasks in parallel
- preferred hands-on operations experience
- preferred direct experience with chemical engineering process development
- valid/clear driver's license required
Job Qualifications
- bachelors degree in chemical engineering or petroleum engineering
- experience in refining, distillation, isomerization, methane pyrolysis
- ability to develop process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, I/O diagrams, and process control strategies
- strong communication skills
- capable of conducting parallel tasks
- hands-on operations experience preferred
- direct experience with chemical engineering process development, including spreadsheet calculations and data compilation
- skilled in designing and performing lab scale to pilot scale experiments
Job Duties
- supporting operations for pilot plants for process development by expanding technical portfolio
- be leader in operations training, procurement, and inventory control for process development and pilot plants
- train operators and engineers to maintain pilot plant area and operations
- emphasize department safety culture, waste disposal, procedures, and ISO compliance
- increase utilization by supporting existing large projects and conducting business development
- design processes or unit operations for chemical or refinery systems
- plan and conduct research and process development work in chemical, gas, and petroleum areas
- expand area of expertise such as hydrotreating, distillation, processing of biofuels
- support ongoing projects through data compilation, mass and energy balances, operator training, procedure development, laboratory upkeep, maintenance, and safety review/document preparation
- conduct strategic business development activities
- provide technical supervision to engineers, technicians, and analysts
- focus on proposal writing and publications
- communicate with vendors, clients, and operators for equipment setup and system construction
- promote and secure new work through mentorship and business development training
- support and lead process operations
