Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical training
- at least 2 years of relevant hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- valid driver’s license
- ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- capability to perform preventive and complex maintenance repairs
- knowledge of safety and security policies
- physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varied conditions
- compliance with all company and legal requirements
- ability to work full time
- non-management position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration
- parts inventory and requisition experience
- experience with surface preparation and painting
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- valid driver’s license
- proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics
- advanced knowledge of hand and power tools
- ability to safely perform complex repairs
- familiarity with Lockout/Tagout procedures
- knowledge of engineering computer software
- strong troubleshooting skills
- ability to train and mentor others
Job Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests
- communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- operate shut-off valves for equipment
- maintain inventory and requisition parts
- communicate daily activities and problems across shifts
- read blueprints and electrical schematics
- perform complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment
- troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical devices, and HVAC equipment
- use Lockout/Tagout system during maintenance
- utilize engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management
- perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- train and mentor other engineers
- perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
