Job Requirements
- Driver’s license
- Ability to respond promptly to repair requests
- Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work on stairs, ramps, and ladders
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to safety policies
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests
- Communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
- Program TVs and perform housekeeping and inventory duties
- Use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and sprinklers
- Maintain communication of daily activities and problems to other shifts
