Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Previous engineer or maintenance experience or equivalent training
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and climbing

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Trade school coursework in related field preferred
  • Previous engineer or maintenance experience or equivalent training
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • Good communication and guest service skills

Job Duties

  • Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs
  • Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings
  • Paint designated areas and items
  • Install and replace basic electrical fixtures including light switches, receptacles, bulbs, and fixtures
  • Repair furniture
  • Install, replace, and program televisions
  • Perform minor plumbing functions
  • Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps and perform preventative maintenance on units
  • Trace and repair all types of water lines
  • Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment
  • Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records
  • Perform and maintain work in accordance with local, state, and federal codes
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to increase departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • Work as a bell attendant during staffing shortages or peak check-in/out periods
  • Follow Service Recovery Guidelines
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
