Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on hotel demands
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled shift ending time unless directed otherwise
  • Must clock in and out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift as directed by supervisor
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must be effective at listening to and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve guests
  • Must be physically capable of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting over 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Effective listening and conflict resolution skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Desire to serve all guests

Job Duties

  • Respond to all requests from guests for general repairs when requested, confirm and document completion through the electronic work order platform
  • Keep all room and public space Preventative Maintenance work up to date and on schedule according to the hotel provided PM Program
  • Follow all safety measures in accordance with approved work checklists and area health codes, including pool and spa
  • Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift, noting and addressing maintenance needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all maintenance areas during and after shifts
  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay, using their names when possible to ensure they feel welcome
  • Complete operational checklists accurately and on time every shift and submit precise shift handover reports
