Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on hotel demands
- Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled shift ending time unless directed otherwise
- Must clock in and out for breaks at designated times
- Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift as directed by supervisor
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Must be effective at listening to and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
- Must be able to convey information clearly
- Must have a desire to serve guests
- Must be physically capable of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting over 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
- At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
- Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
- Effective listening and conflict resolution skills
- Clear communication skills
- Desire to serve all guests
Job Duties
- Respond to all requests from guests for general repairs when requested, confirm and document completion through the electronic work order platform
- Keep all room and public space Preventative Maintenance work up to date and on schedule according to the hotel provided PM Program
- Follow all safety measures in accordance with approved work checklists and area health codes, including pool and spa
- Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift, noting and addressing maintenance needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all maintenance areas during and after shifts
- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay, using their names when possible to ensure they feel welcome
- Complete operational checklists accurately and on time every shift and submit precise shift handover reports
