Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns raised by co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel
  • Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate supervisor
  • Never work while off the clock
  • Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule
  • Provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred

  • Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Effective listening and conflict resolution skills

  • Willing to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Punctual with clock-in/out times and break schedules
  • Provide notice for call-outs as per supervisor instructions

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names to make them feel welcomed
  • Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores as a team
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support groups and events held at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology effectively
  • Answer incoming calls professionally with approved greetings
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • Help clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests courteously while cleaning
  • Complete operational checklists with 100% accuracy
  • Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear clean, approved uniforms and maintain grooming standards
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Exhibit a can-do attitude by stretching beyond traditional roles
  • Collaborate to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • Respond promptly to repair requests and document completion
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to hotel schedules
  • Ensure all safety and health codes are followed
  • Conduct full property walk-throughs at start and end of shifts
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and organized during and after shifts
