Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- willing to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled ending time unless directed otherwise
- clock in/out for breaks at designated times
- provide sufficient notice when calling out for scheduled shifts
- able to perform physical demands including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions of wrists and hands, and lifting 50+ lbs
- able to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
- at least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
- positive attitude and willingness to learn
- ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- effective listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills
- desire to serve all guests
- ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- commitment to hospitality and guest service
Job Duties
- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
- use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel properly welcomed
- work together with all team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
- handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
- maintain strong knowledge of all hotel facilities and amenities
- support groups and events at the hotel
- understand and utilize relevant technology for the role
- answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
- keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
- assist in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
- greet guests while cleaning, maintaining hospitality
- complete all operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
- submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
- wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed while wearing a nametag and smiling
- communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
- demonstrate a willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles to meet business needs
- collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
- respond to guest repair requests and document completion through electronic work order system
- perform preventative maintenance on rooms and public spaces per schedule
- follow all safety measures and health codes, report emergency or life safety concerns
- conduct full property walks at beginning and end of shifts to identify maintenance needs
- keep maintenance areas clean and organized during shifts and before departure
