Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience in commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at the scheduled time unless directed otherwise
  • Must clock in and out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice for call outs as directed by supervisor
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to make them feel welcomed
  • Work together with all team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology and answer phone calls with friendly service
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Always greet guests with a smile and name during cleaning
  • Complete all operational checklists with 100 percent accuracy every shift
  • Ensure shift handover reports are accurate and timely
  • Wear clean, approved uniform and present a professional appearance with a nametag
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Show a can-do attitude to meet the business and guest needs
  • Collaborate to create a welcoming guest environment and positive workplace
  • Respond to guest repair requests promptly and document completion
  • Keep up-to-date with preventive maintenance schedules for rooms and public spaces
  • Follow safety and health codes including pool and spa regulations
  • Report emergency or life safety concerns immediately
  • Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of each shift noting maintenance needs
  • Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas during and at the end of shifts
