Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience preferably in a hotel or commercial property
- Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other staff
- Good communication skills
- Physically capable of performing manual labor and handling heavy objects
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail in all maintenance tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or trade school certification is a plus
- At least 1 year of proven experience in general maintenance preferably within hotels or commercial properties
- Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills with professional demeanor
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and perform manual labor
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Flexibility to work variable hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Conduct regular and thorough inspections of the entire property to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvement
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and carpentry ensuring all systems are operational
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests providing high-quality solutions
- Diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment
- Maintain and enhance furniture, fixtures, and equipment in guest rooms, common areas, and the restaurant
- Collaborate closely with other departments, especially the restaurant, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to guests
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to increase equipment reliability and longevity
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
