Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent education
- three to five years of experience in general building trades, preferably commercial maintenance
- fluency in English
- ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
- able to stand for extended periods
- able to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- able to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs occasionally
- good communication skills
- knowledge of safety procedures and lockout/tagout system
- basic computer skills
- ability to read and interpret trade drawings and design plans
- strong mechanical aptitude
- ability to work independently and with others
- exceptional issue resolution skills
- attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- fluency in English
- three to five years of experience in building trades
- technical knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry preferred
- valid driver’s license
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- good verbal and written communication skills
- excellent customer relations skills
- ability to work independently and in a team
- basic computer literacy
- strong organizational skills
- ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
Job Duties
- Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities
- perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms including vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs
- perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool and hot tub
- perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repairs, preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply, monitor energy conservation
- replace air conditioner filters
- repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request
- immediately follow up on any alarms to determine location and cause, determine emergency status and report to the Front Desk
- understand and respond to all guest needs and requests professionally and timely
- immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions
- maintain cleanliness of work areas
- practice safe work habits to avoid injury
- perform other tasks including cross-training as directed
- display strong mechanical ability
- use lockout/tagout system before maintenance work
- notify management on major repairs or additions required
- perform all other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
