Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns raised by co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time unless otherwise directed
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on schedule
  • Must provide sufficient notice as directed by supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

  • Punctuality with clocking in and out for shifts and breaks
  • Sufficient notice when calling out for scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Maintain understanding of relevant role technology
  • Answer incoming calls using approved friendly greetings
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • Assist in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests with hospitality while cleaning
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time each shift
  • Prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear approved uniform, be well-groomed and smile at all times
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Exhibit a can-do attitude to meet business and guest needs
  • Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming environment
  • Respond to repair requests from guests and document completion
  • Maintain up-to-date preventative maintenance on rooms and public spaces
  • Follow safety and health codes including pool and spa regulations
  • Conduct property walks at the beginning and end of shifts, documenting maintenance needs
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and well-organized during and after shifts
