Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at scheduled times unless directed otherwise
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of work-related experience in commercial facility or hospitality maintenance preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work well under pressure in high-stress situations
  • Effective listening and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Genuine desire to provide excellent hospitality and guest service
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to arrive on time and adhere to clock-in/clock-out procedures
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel properly welcomed
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities
  • Support all groups and events occurring at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology effectively for the role
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly, professional phone etiquette
  • Keep all workspaces spotless and well-organized, both front and back of house
  • Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces when necessary
  • Always greet guests with a smile and by name while cleaning
  • Complete all operational checklists with 100% accuracy every shift
  • Submit shift handover reports accurately and on time
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, and maintain a smiling demeanor
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude extending beyond the traditional role
  • Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming and effective workplace
  • Respond promptly to guest repair requests and document completion
  • Keep preventative maintenance up to date in accordance with the PM program
  • Follow safety and health codes meticulously, report emergencies
  • Conduct full property walks at shift start and end, documenting maintenance needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas throughout shifts
