Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must be willing to work varied schedule including evenings nights weekends and holidays
  • must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled shift end unless directed otherwise
  • must clock in and out for breaks at designated times
  • must provide sufficient notice when calling out for scheduled shifts
  • ability to perform physical demands including climbing balancing stooping kneeling crawling standing walking repetitive motions and lifting over 50 pounds
  • must read write understand and communicate effectively in English
  • must be able to follow guidelines and procedures
  • must work well in stressful high-pressure situations

Job Qualifications

  • technical trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • at least 2 years of work-related experience in commercial facility hospitality or related field preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • effective at listening and conflict resolution
  • ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • desire to serve all guests with hospitality
  • positive can-do attitude
  • ability to convey information clearly

Job Duties

  • greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • work as a team to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • maintain strong knowledge of all hotel facilities and amenities
  • support and be aware of hotel groups and events
  • understand and utilize relevant technology for the role
  • answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • keep all workspaces clean and organized
  • pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • greet guests warmly even while performing cleaning duties
  • complete operational checklists accurately and on time each shift
  • ensure accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • wear clean, approved uniform and maintain grooming standards
  • communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • demonstrate a can-do attitude by willing to go beyond traditional roles
  • collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment
  • respond to repair requests promptly and document completion via electronic work orders
  • keep preventative maintenance up to date per hotel schedule
  • follow all safety and health codes including pool and spa regulations
  • report emergency or life safety concerns immediately
  • conduct property walks at the beginning and end of shifts to note and address maintenance needs
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas during and after shifts
