Job Requirements

  • Associate degree with minimum two years of case management experience or closely related experience
  • Or high school diploma or equivalent with minimum three years of case management or closely related field experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Adept with computer programs including Microsoft Office suite and data information management systems

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with minimum three years of case management or related field experience and valid driver's license
  • Adept with computer programs including Microsoft Office suite and data information management systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in human services, behavioral science, or related field with one year of case management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Establish and maintain complete and accurate records of SSVF participants and their progress toward goals and objectives
  • Develop a trusting and helping relationship with homeless veterans without bias
  • Help SSVF enrolled Veterans connect with available public and private service resources and follow up on referrals
  • Coordinate with VA Employment programs and other programs for wrap around support
  • Conduct employability assessments of potential participants including aptitude, readiness for work, and physical capabilities
  • Assist Veterans with creating resumes, job search plans, job training support, and job interview preparation
  • Provide regular feedback on participants' progress and make recommendations for service adjustments
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a resource base of employers committed to priority hiring of Veterans
  • Coordinate with SSVF Service Coordinator and other staff to support Veteran success towards permanent housing
  • Participate in in-service training and employment-related events
