Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of related experience
- ability to demonstrate intermediate to advanced cooking skills
- ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
- ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
- office skills with basic computer knowledge
- basic math skills
- ability to maintain discretion with confidential information
- ability to interact professionally with guests and team members at all levels
- willingness to work irregular and extended shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to perform job duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and wearing required personal protective equipment
- visual acuity including close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus
Job Qualifications
- The ability to demonstrate intermediate to advanced cooking skills is required
- a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of related experience
- previous supervisory experience is preferred
- ability to successfully achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
- ability to successfully complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
- office skills including the ability to use standard office equipment and basic computer skills
- basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and fractions
- ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
- ability to interact professionally with guests and team members at all levels and speak in front of small groups
- ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Oversee, plan, and assist in the creation of all food and menu items prepared in the venue
- lead the culinary team to hold team members accountable for their performance and to ensure that all food served is monitored for taste and visual appeal
- ensure established portion control measures are followed
- control the level of waste through proper production levels and converted portion guidelines
- communicate departmental objectives to ensure consistency and commitment to company policies and procedures
- maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment
- assist in monthly inventory and rotation of stock
- assist in menu development and presentation, including establishing recipes, determining costs, and publishing new menu specifications
- assist in training, testing, and coaching other members of the culinary team
- work at other venues as assigned based on business needs
- ensure full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
