Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in baking or pastry production
  • ability to work seasonally January through April 2026
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow food safety protocols
  • physical ability to stand for long periods
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Baking experience required
  • restaurant experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • ability to follow recipes and standardized procedures
  • skills in menu planning and staff coordination
  • ability to manage inventory and food costs
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • teamwork and leadership abilities

Job Duties

  • Produce Deer Valley quality baked goods consistently
  • use standard recipes and designated procedures to produce baked goods
  • execute banquet event orders as specified in banquet sheets
  • assist pastry chef with menu planning and scheduling
  • direct and assist the bakery crew
  • maintain sufficient inventory of baked goods and order supplies as needed
  • ensure prepped food and leftovers are properly wrapped, labeled, stored, and rotated
  • follow proper food handling and safety procedures
  • manage food costs through efficient planning and creative use of leftovers
  • mail wholesale and special-order bills daily
  • perform other duties as assigned
