Job Requirements

  • one year of experience in acute hospital or long term care setting preferred
  • direct patient care experience within last six months required
  • current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
  • assault crisis training completion within six months required
  • successful completion and maintenance of telemetry assessment
  • ability to pass orientation and competency assessments
  • willingness to work 12-hour night shifts three days per week

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • current CNA or EMT certification preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • completion of cardiac rhythm recognition course within six months
  • ability to pass telemetry test within six months
  • excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • effective communication abilities

Job Duties

  • deliver direct patient care under RN supervision
  • take vital signs and monitor patient conditions
  • assist with unit receptionist or monitor technician duties as assigned
  • maintain safety and adhere to hospital policies
  • exhibit teamwork and professional commitment
  • communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • complete required training and competency assessments
