Job Requirements
- one year of experience in acute hospital or long term care setting preferred
- direct patient care experience within last six months required
- current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- assault crisis training completion within six months required
- successful completion and maintenance of telemetry assessment
- ability to pass orientation and competency assessments
- willingness to work 12-hour night shifts three days per week
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- current CNA or EMT certification preferred
- knowledge of medical terminology
- completion of cardiac rhythm recognition course within six months
- ability to pass telemetry test within six months
- excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- effective communication abilities
Job Duties
- deliver direct patient care under RN supervision
- take vital signs and monitor patient conditions
- assist with unit receptionist or monitor technician duties as assigned
- maintain safety and adhere to hospital policies
- exhibit teamwork and professional commitment
- communicate effectively with patients and staff
- complete required training and competency assessments
