Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • flexible tour of duty including nights, weekends and holidays
  • non-critical sensitive security clearance
  • completion of favorable suitability or fitness determination
  • registered or exempt from selective service if male born after 12-31-59
  • bargaining unit status
  • not authorized for recruitment incentives
  • no pre-employment physical required
  • must have or obtain REAL ID or acceptable identification for federal facility access
  • mission essential position requiring reporting during emergencies
  • must complete required training and certifications within specified timelines

Job Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-05 level
  • experience answering 911 calls
  • experience working with emergency services dispatch equipment
  • experience providing instruction on emergency medical procedures
  • experience interpreting pertinent laws and regulations
  • must meet eligibility and minimum qualifications by closing date

Job Duties

  • Provides advanced emergency medical dispatch life support through pre-arrival instructions to callers
  • operates and maintains all Dispatch Call Center equipment, including State Police Systems to obtain criminal background information
  • prepares and maintains reports and records relating to emergency responses
