Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Driver's License
- State Paramedic certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS-Provider)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS - Provider)
- Two years minimum experience as a paramedic working on an ambulance
- Currently affiliated with an EMS agency and working under the direction of a Medical Director
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test, Ability to immediately travel for a no-notice event
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS-Provider)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS - Provider)
- Two years minimum experience as a paramedic working on an ambulance
- Currently affiliated with an EMS agency and working under the direction of a Medical Director
- Preferred ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
- Preferred 911 emergency experience
- Preferred NREMT-Paramedic
- Preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS-Provider)
Job Duties
- Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols
- Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care
- Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given
- Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed
- Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles
- Setting up and preparing the mobile operations
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel
