Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Driver's License
  • State Paramedic certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS-Provider)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS - Provider)
  • Two years minimum experience as a paramedic working on an ambulance
  • Currently affiliated with an EMS agency and working under the direction of a Medical Director
  • Driving record compliant with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test, Ability to immediately travel for a no-notice event

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Paramedic certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS-Provider)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS - Provider)
  • Two years minimum experience as a paramedic working on an ambulance
  • Currently affiliated with an EMS agency and working under the direction of a Medical Director
  • Preferred ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
  • Preferred 911 emergency experience
  • Preferred NREMT-Paramedic
  • Preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS-Provider)

Job Duties

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols
  • Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed
  • Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles
  • Setting up and preparing the mobile operations
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel
