Job Requirements
- Certifications must be current and active, not in process or inactive
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State driver’s license
- State EMT certification
- CPR/BLS certification
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass physical agility test
- Minimum one year of EMT service experience on an ambulance
- Currently affiliated with an EMS agency and working under a Medical Director
- Ability to travel immediately for no-notice events
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State EMT certification
- CPR/BLS certification
- Currently affiliated with an EMS agency under a Medical Director
- One year of EMT service experience working on ambulances
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications preferred
- State driver’s license
- Clean driving record per company policy
- Ability to pass physical agility test
Job Duties
- Provide an assessment of patients to determine necessary care and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment
- Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
- Use EMT skills including communications, medical equipment operation, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools
- Operate an ambulance according to company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicles
- Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow EMTs
- Travel immediately for no-notice events when called upon
- Participate in community programs to maintain the organization’s image and establish strong community relations
