Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed or registered as Emergency Medical Technician-IA by Tulare County
- Ability to follow company and medical protocols
- Physical ability to safely move patients with assistance of one other person
- Must maintain professional conduct and appearance
- Must be able to operate ambulance safely and legally
- Ability to complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Commitment to attend mandatory training and continuing education
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and proper condition of vehicles and equipment
Job Qualifications
- Licensed or registered as Emergency Medical Technician-IA by Tulare County
- Ability to function as part of a professional team
- Knowledge and adherence to guidelines from American Ambulance of Visalia and regulatory agencies
- Physical ability to move patients with minimal assistance
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Transportation and care of sick and injured patients as assigned by dispatch
- Responsible for the safe and appropriate care and timely transportation of patients
- Direct treatment of the team in accordance with protocols and medical control
- Operate ambulance or Medivan safely and legally
- Maintain personal conduct and appearance
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of assigned vehicles and equipment
- Report malfunctions or damage to equipment promptly
- Park ambulances inside garages during night and adverse weather
- Prepare and instruct EMS continuing education classes as assigned
- Attend all mandatory training and meetings
- Obtain and document continuing education credits periodically
