Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of customer service, call center, or dispatching experience
- Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification
- Certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) at hire or obtained within first three months of employment

- Working knowledge of radio communications
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent communication skills

- Certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) at hire or obtained within first three months of employment
Job Duties
- Coordinates emergent and non-emergent requests for Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service including ambulance, Mayo One airplane, and Mayo One helicopter transport
- Receives and coordinates radio and telephone communications into the Emergency Department at Saint Marys and Methodist Campuses
- Coordinates advanced notification of patient arrival information to appropriate areas within Mayo Clinic Medical Center
- Provides 911 caller pre-arrival instructions for Mayo Clinic Ambulance and other counties within Minnesota and Wisconsin
- Activates Acute Stroke Team, Cath/Stemi Team, ED Resuscitation Team, Family Activated Pediatric Response Team (PRRT), and Trauma Team for the Mayo Clinic Medical Center
