Job Requirements
- At least one year experience in customer service
- Ability to work shift hours 1:30 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Sunday
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends with shift differential pay
- Ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale platforms
- High stress tolerance
- Detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- At least one year experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Previous patient care experience strongly preferred

Job Duties
- Supporting patients, families, and staff by providing comfort, empathy, and resources to enhance overall ED experience
- Rounding on patients throughout the ED while waiting to be seen, being triaged, or waiting to be admitted
- Facilitating communication between caregivers and ED guests when appropriate
- Continually providing patients and guests with updated information regarding their current status from registration to discharge or admission
- Providing non-clinical services including care and comfort touches like offering warm blankets and pillows
- Offering advocacy by connecting patients with resources such as phone charger access, social work team members, and chaplain services
- Accurately capturing service activity within BEST’s service management platform
