Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in food service, hospitality, or patient-facing healthcare strongly preferred
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts

Job Duties

  • Coordinate timely delivery and collection of meal trays to ED patients
  • Proactively round on patients to obtain dietary preferences, restrictions, and allergies
  • Educate patients on using the MyMeal digital ordering application and assist with orders
  • Conduct frequent patient rounding to assess comfort, meal satisfaction, and non-clinical needs
  • Act quickly to resolve patient food-related issues and ensure service recovery
  • Maintain unit readiness through regular stock inventory and rotation
  • Support nursing staff with non-clinical tasks such as clearing trays and preparing patients for transport
