Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of medical terminology course or CNA license or EMS dispatch
- Two years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting or equivalent
- Ability to operate multiple communication and dispatch technologies
- Capability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Commitment to punctual and regular attendance
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR and hospital information systems
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completed medical terminology course or hold a CNA license or EMS dispatch certification
- Experience operating EHR and dispatch software
- Two years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting or equivalent
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple critical tasks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Competency in unit-specific tasks as outlined by training
- Familiarity with healthcare transfer protocols and policies
Job Duties
- Dispatch flight and ground crews for air and critical care transport
- Communicate with flight and ground team members to enhance situational awareness and safety
- Coordinate interfacility patient transport within the Orlando Health network
- Utilize telephones, computers, radios, and dispatch software to manage service requests
- Operate EHR/EMR systems for prompt processing and communication of medical information
- Maintain compliance with policies and procedures related to patient transfer
- Collaborate with physicians and leadership to support clinical and operational requirements
