Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- No prior experience required
- Ability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, stand and walk continuously
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Basic ability to comprehend verbal and written English sufficient for safety and communication
- Ability to lift equipment, supplies or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines

- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment
- Ability to push and/or pull carts weighing up to 500 lbs
- Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand and walk public areas for extended periods
Job Duties
- Performs all stages of linen processing
- Receives, issues clean linens and distributes in linen closets or to attendants when requested
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels to ensure continuous supply
- Assists in laundry inventories
- Cleans laundry area
- Assists in processing of dirty linen from collection to preparing for transport
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Reports all unsafe conditions immediately
- Keeps work area neat and organized
- Reports all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to the appropriate department
- Discards torn, worn, and faded linens following established procedures
- Assists room attendants when necessary
- Assists in other areas of the department as needed and assigned by supervising management
