Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience working with commercial kitchen equipment and in food preparation and supervisory roles
- mathematical skills including basic calculations and job-related math concepts
- ability to work with detailed information and maintain strict confidentiality of records
- must be able to pass ServeSafe certification within the first 45 days of employment and maintain certification
- a valid Alaska driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle
- must be able to gain access to military installations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of experience with commercial kitchen equipment, customer service, food preparation, and supervisory roles
- proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and job-related math applications
- ability to manage confidential information responsibly
- ServeSafe certification or ability to obtain certification within 45 days
- valid Alaska driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- ability to gain access to military installations
Job Duties
- manage the operation of nutrition services to ensure quality and nutritious meal programs
- oversee the use and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment including steam tables and ovens
- supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily meal preparation activities
- ensure compliance with nutrition and safety regulations including maintaining ServeSafe certification
- handle customer service to students, staff, parents, and the community
- maintain accurate records and confidentiality of information
- manage inventory and ordering of supplies to meet budget and nutritional goals
