Job Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of fellowship training in Electrophysiology
- Valid Alaska medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current board certification in cardiology and electrophysiology
- Experience with outpatient electrophysiology clinic operations
- Ability to work one week per month on a per-diem basis
- Willingness to travel to and practice in Fairbanks, Alaska
Job Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification in Cardiology with subspecialty certification in Electrophysiology
- Valid medical license to practice in Alaska or eligibility for licensure
- Experience in managing cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology procedures
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient cardiology care
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
Job Duties
- Conduct outpatient electrophysiology evaluations and follow-ups for adult patients with arrhythmias and implanted cardiac devices
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular care
- Manage a patient panel averaging 14 patients in clinic per week
- Perform electrophysiology procedures during scheduled procedure days
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure continuity of care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient treatment plans
- Provide patient education regarding arrhythmia management and cardiac device care
