Job Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of fellowship training in Electrophysiology
  • Valid Alaska medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Current board certification in cardiology and electrophysiology
  • Experience with outpatient electrophysiology clinic operations
  • Ability to work one week per month on a per-diem basis
  • Willingness to travel to and practice in Fairbanks, Alaska

Job Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification in Cardiology with subspecialty certification in Electrophysiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in Alaska or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience in managing cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology procedures
  • Strong clinical skills in outpatient cardiology care
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication and patient management skills

Job Duties

  • Conduct outpatient electrophysiology evaluations and follow-ups for adult patients with arrhythmias and implanted cardiac devices
  • Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular care
  • Manage a patient panel averaging 14 patients in clinic per week
  • Perform electrophysiology procedures during scheduled procedure days
  • Maintain detailed medical records and ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient treatment plans
  • Provide patient education regarding arrhythmia management and cardiac device care
