Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and hazardous waste handling
  • Competent in welding, brazing, and pipe fitting
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
  • Physical capability to handle manual labor and operate machinery

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical codes
  • Skilled in welding, brazing, pipefitting, carpentry, and painting
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and hazardous waste management
  • Competence in operating machine tools, mechanical lifting devices, and fabricating equipment

Job Duties

  • Receive instruction covering scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection of work to be done
  • Inspect plant equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, and insufficient lubrication
  • Plan working procedures for efficient job execution and advise on equipment shutdown needs
  • Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, lubricate, and adjust equipment
  • Operate machine tools, mechanical lifting devices, pipe bending, threading, and cut-off equipment
  • Fabricate and install ductwork and perform welding, brazing, grinding, and flame annealing
  • Interpret drawings and plans, select materials suitable for jobs
  • Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment including air compressors, emergency generators, pumps, HVAC units, and electrical control panels
  • Follow safety protocols, manage hazardous waste correctly, and ensure minimal interference with operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
