Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of the work term and able to produce documentation
  • Available to begin work in January 2026 or May 2026
  • Must be enrolled in a relevant engineering degree program and returning to full-time studies after the work term or registered in a co-op/internship program
  • Candidates currently in Masters or Ph.D. programs may be considered
  • Must have own transportation for field locations
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities

Job Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an electrical, instrumentation, electronics engineering, engineering technology, or related engineering degree at an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
  • Candidates in masters or Ph.D. engineering programs may be considered
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Solid analytical and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, judgement, and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Assist with electrical and instrumentation projects including feasibility study, FEED, data collection, equipment specification, redlines/update drawings/documents, scope of work development, and engineering package review
  • Provide electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and SIS field support for maintenance, troubleshooting, construction, testing, commissioning, and start-up
  • Streamline preventive maintenance optimization, report review, work package development, and work notification generation for corrective actions and follow-up
  • Assist with PLC and SIS troubleshooting, engineering, programming, and loop check
  • Assist with reliability studies and failure investigations
