Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of clerical experience
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute
  • Experience with elections or warehouse-related operations
  • Current Texas driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance
  • Must be able to be a registered voter in Texas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute
  • Two years of clerical experience
  • Experience with elections or warehouse-related operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment
  • Current Texas driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance
  • Must be a registered voter in Texas

Job Duties

  • Assist the warehouse technician with preparation, receiving, storing, and testing equipment
  • Assist the warehouse technician establish and maintain an inventory program for equipment, supplies and forms
  • Assist the warehouse technician perform all routine maintenance of the election equipment and track equipment sent to the vendor for repairs
  • Assist the warehouse technician oversee the use of bar code technology to record the movement of the voting equipment and components throughout the election process
  • Perform all post-election requirements on equipment and complete record retention duties
  • Sort and distribute daily mail
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Lubbock County Elections Office by welcoming and greeting the public
  • Answer multi-line phone system calls, transfer calls, and take messages
  • Provide administrative support for Elections Office staff
  • File, scan, and copy documents daily
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and monitoring access
  • Perform other duties as assigned
