Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year management experience in the hospitality business
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to work extensive standing without breaks
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including heat, steam, smoke, and cold
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must be able to work irregular hours and handle stress during busy periods
  • Must have high level of mobility and flexibility
  • Ability to operate a computer and cash register
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for achieving the restaurant's sales and profit plan
  • Analyzes operating statements to identify problems and takes corrective action
  • Stays aware of local market trends, competition, and opportunities
  • Selects and implements appropriate local store marketing programs
  • Ensures new products are rolled out according to standards
  • Ensures restaurant operations comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintains proper inventory levels for food and non-food items
  • Ensures exceptional guest satisfaction through effective service and a clean environment
  • Ensures safety of employees and guests, handles accidents promptly
  • Supervises assistant managers and provides performance feedback
  • Prepares management work schedules and meets labor staffing guidelines
  • Organizes employee and management meetings, fosters positive work environment
  • Ensures employees receive appropriate training and development
  • Takes corrective disciplinary action when necessary
  • Recognizes and rewards good employee performance
  • Responsible for recruitment, interviewing and selection of hourly employees
  • Participates in recruitment and selection of restaurant management
  • Administers personnel records, appraisals, merit increases, and timekeeping
  • Responsible for company funds and inventory, enforces cash handling policies
  • Complies with human resource policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
