Job Duties

  • Follows company food handling and safety procedures
  • rotates and organizes products in storage areas using the FIFO method
  • inspects whole chickens and other raw meats for quality standards
  • prepares, marinates and seasons whole chicken
  • thaws and stores raw meats to projected needs
  • maintains proper levels of whole chicken and other meats during shift based on projections
  • cooks whole chicken and grilled products according to standards
  • receives orders and cuts whole chicken, arranging for proper presentation
  • cuts, stocks, and rotates grilled products according to company standards
  • monitors quality and holding time of cooked chicken
  • maintains cooked meat products at proper serving temperature
  • assists expediter and burrito assembly person
  • cleans and sanitizes work area and equipment
  • assists in training new cooks and cold prep persons
  • performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor
  • stores and organizes food shipments using FIFO
  • inspects cold food product ingredients
  • prepares and packages cold food products
  • moves packaged items to proper coolers, stacking and rotating products
