Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- minimum 6 years of related EHS and facilities experience in a plant-manufacturing environment
- minimum 2 years of experience managing people or equivalent experience leading project teams
- must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR
- able to relocate to Camarillo, CA for on-site work Monday through Friday
- must comply with all environmental, health, safety and facility maintenance regulations and Eaton internal policies
- ability to spend significant time on the plant floor
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage contractors and service providers
- able to create and manage budgets and forecasts
Job Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- minimum 6 years of related EHS and facilities experience in a plant-manufacturing environment
- minimum 2 years of experience managing people or equivalent project team leadership

- must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR
- master’s degree preferred
- degree in environmental science, industrial engineering, biological science, safety science, business administration or management preferred
- california regulatory experience preferred but not required
- experience in digital EHS applications preferred
- strong communication skills required
- ability to self-manage and prioritize work
- comfortable working extensively in a factory environment
Job Duties
- champions and leads projects designed to effectively drive improvements in zero incident safety culture
- prepares and submits all required environmental permit applications and routine agency reports
- manages all plant waste disposal activity to ensure regulatory compliance and tracking
- develops and maintains all required written safety plans and compiles safety performance metrics for OSHA and Eaton reporting
- develops and maintains plant emergency response plans and may serve as plant emergency coordinator
- reviews plant environmental permits ensuring compliance and documentation
- evaluates proposed projects and chemicals for EHS compliance and implements management of change plans
- ensures safety data sheet (SDS) database is updated for all materials
- ensures employee environmental and safety training is completed and documented
- develops and implements plant programs and procedures to conform with Eaton EHS mandates
- investigates environmental and safety incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions
- ensures all plant safety inspections are performed and documented and corrective actions are completed
- implements MESH compliance actions and tasks
- drives employee engagement via EHS sub-teams
- manages and maintains capital projects for critical facility infrastructure and safety programs
- develops and supervises execution of preventive maintenance plans
- manages plant maintenance leads ensuring proper execution of work orders
- designs department structure including job descriptions and coaching
- plans and implements methods and procedures related to facilities maintenance
- responsible for design and implementation of equipment installation standards
- administers building maintenance and housekeeping activities
- evaluates and manages contracts for maintenance services
- leads critical MESH activities such as LOTO and fall protection
- manages facilities risk assessments and ensures timely gap closure
- creates and monitors budget and financial forecasts
- coordinates plant security to ensure ITAR/EAR compliance and loss control
