Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 6 years of EHS and Facilities experience in manufacturing
  • Minimum 2 years of people management or project leadership
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations
  • Willingness to work on-site Monday through Friday at Camarillo, CA
  • Must be able to relocate quickly if required
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 6 years of related EHS and Facilities experience in a plant-manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years managing people or equivalent project leadership experience
  • Familiarity with environmental permits and compliance reporting
  • Experience developing and implementing safety programs
  • Strong communication skills for interacting across organizational levels
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out, fall protection, confined space, electrical management
  • Experience with budget creation and financial forecasting

Job Duties

  • Champion and lead projects to drive improvements in zero incident safety culture
  • Prepare and submit environmental permit applications, renewals, and agency reports
  • Manage plant waste disposal activities ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Develop and maintain written safety plans and compile safety performance data
  • Coordinate the industrial hygiene hazard assessment and employee exposure monitoring
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills
  • Review environmental permits ensuring compliance with conditions
  • Evaluate projects and new chemicals for EHS compliance (Management of Change)
  • Ensure SDS database is current for all materials
  • Oversee employee environmental and safety training completion and documentation
  • Implement plant EHS programs, policies, and directives
  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct and document plant safety inspections and ensure corrective actions
  • Implement MESH compliance actions individually and with team support
  • Drive employee engagement via EHS sub-teams
  • Manage and maintain capital projects for facilities and safety programs
