Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • one to two years’ experience in housekeeping or service work preferably in a healthcare facility
  • ability to work assigned shifts consistently and on time
  • ability to complete full shifts and perform 10-step cleaning process thoroughly after training
  • ability to respond with urgency to emergency cleaning needs
  • ability to communicate clearly in English
  • physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds infrequently and carry 35 pounds while walking
  • capability to work standing for full shifts and handle chemical safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • one to two years’ experience in housekeeping or service work preferably in a healthcare facility
  • ability to demonstrate cleaning skills after training
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • ability to follow safety and chemical handling procedures
  • ability to maintain professional and respectful interaction with patients and visitors
  • physical capability to perform medium-heavy work including lifting, pushing, and pulling

Job Duties

  • perform thorough 10-step cleaning and servicing of assigned hospital areas systematically
  • respond rapidly to emergencies, special needs, stat discharge cleanings, spills
  • perform related services such as bed moves, cleaning IV poles and pumps, stocking supplies
  • communicate effectively and cheerfully with employees, patients, visitors and customers
  • follow all regulatory requirements, compliance programs, and hospital standards of behavior
  • maintain attention to detail and consistently complete assigned duty list
  • assist with cleaning of patient care and public areas including patient rooms, nursing stations, restrooms, lounges, and corridors
