Job Requirements
- Pass a background check and mandatory drug test
- possess a valid driver's license and insurability
- able to endure five or more hours outdoors in various weather
- possess good people skills and comfort interacting with all ages
- Tuesday through Saturday work including evenings and holidays as required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science education, environmental science, recreational programming, or related field
- at least one year experience working with K-12 school groups in formal or informal education
- minimum of one year experience in sales, reservations, or customer service
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- ability to learn new educational software
- excellent interpersonal communication skills
- planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
- ability to interact courteously with the public
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- ability to prepare reports and presentations
Job Duties
- Coordinate community education programs for families at Bonnet Springs Park
- manage supplies for education activities and events
- ensure smooth operation of program services
- develop and evaluate program evaluation systems
- assist in marketing strategies for education programs
- cultivate relationships with educational and community partners
- assist with monthly homeschool community events
- teach and assist with educational programs as needed
- research science education trends and recommend new programs
- manage logistics and communication for education programming
- communicate with vendors and partners
- maintain financial and attendance reports
- facilitate internal communication between departments
- integrate sensory-friendly strategies
- create event plans for education programs
- manage education program volunteers
- follow complex instructions, policies, and procedures
- maintain supply inventory and organize storage
- lead field trip programming
- assist with signature events planning
- perform additional assigned duties
