Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience as an active retail certified pharmacy technician
- active State of Texas registration as certified pharmacy technician
- maintain certification with 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years
- recertify 60 days prior to expiration date
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail office environment
- ability to stand for extended periods up to 12 hours
- ability to regularly lift 30 lbs or more
- ability to use arms and hands in repetitive motion requiring dexterity
- meet specific vision requirements including close and color vision
- willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience as a retail certified pharmacy technician
- active CPhT certification
- experience working in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment
- certification as an H-E-B pharmacy technician
- RxEVO certification
- successful completion of required training including HIPAA, fraud waste and abuse prevention, and company orientation
- advanced communication and telephone etiquette skills
- intermediate computer skills including MS Office and H-E-B related systems
- strong mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Role models and provides superior customer service and service standards
- promotes and embodies 'Greet, Ask & Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies
- manages exception station and solves third-party issues
- receives and processes written prescriptions from customers using RxEVO
- verifies patient information and processes third-party prescriptions
- coordinates Rx screening events, flu shot and immunization scheduling
- maintains H-E-B Rx screener status and participates in screening events
- assists with pharmacy operations-related tasks such as recalls and department communications
- orders and manages inventory, processes invoices daily
- reviews warehouse and DSD orders
- checks deliveries for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments
- maintains automated prescription processing equipment including calibration and stocking
- applies computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview
- processes RxIMS reports including count compliance and order overrides
- performs other assigned duties as required
