Job Duties

  • assist executive chef with daily kitchen management
  • oversee food production and execution across multiple outlets
  • supervise and train kitchen staff
  • enforce portioning and quality guidelines
  • interview and hire staff
  • manage ordering of food and supplies
  • schedule staff and evaluate employee performance
  • maintain inventory and ordering systems
  • control food and labor costs
  • ensure timely food expediting
  • attend department head and staff meetings
  • develop menus and food specials
  • coordinate catering contracts and communications
  • ensure quality and timely delivery of catered events
  • staff carving stations
  • maintain positive work environment and safety standards
