Job Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of one year nursing experience
- Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Successful completion of Handle With Care training including physical hold and verbal de-escalation
- Must pass medication administration exam before administering medications
- Current CPR certification upon hire

Job Duties
- Coordinate and implement all aspects of electroconvulsive therapy according to state regulatory requirements and hospital policies
- Monitor and prepare patients for ECT treatments ensuring safety and comfort
- Administer medications related to ECT with adherence to medication administration guidelines
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to plan and evaluate patient care during ECT
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of ECT procedures and patient responses
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide education and support to patients and families about the ECT process and expectations
