Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- two years post high school work experience in customer service or related environment
- experience or willingness to learn public assistance eligibility policies
- two years experience using computers in a fast-paced setting
- valid Wisconsin driver license
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to make independent decisions and follow data security protocols
- strong multitasking and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- experience working in a call center environment preferred
- high school diploma or GED
- sixty credits post-secondary education preferred
- two years post high school work experience in customer service or a people-oriented environment
- post secondary degree may substitute for work experience
- two years of experience using computers in a fast-paced work environment
- experience or ability to learn eligibility determination for public assistance programs
- experience working with diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
- valid Wisconsin driver license
- prompt and regular attendance
Job Duties
- perform eligibility determination for public assistance programs
- conduct redetermination and budget income assessments
- work in a call center environment answering customer questions and taking applications
- review cases and assess eligibility for food share, child care, medical assistance and caretaker supplement benefits
- process documentation provided by customers and make independent decisions
- prepare notices for all programs as needed or required
- refer applicants or recipients suspected of fraudulent activity to the Program and Integrity units
