Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Six months of healthcare, customer service, or medical terminology experience
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- No required certification, license, or registry
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Six months of healthcare, customer service, or medical terminology experience
- Preferred two or more years of healthcare related experience in dispatching, transfer centers, admissions, emergency medical services, or acute care
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or similar credential preferred
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Facilitates and documents communication, acceptance, and/or denial of patients seeking admission or transfer into or from TMH in a call center setting
- Facilitates communication between TMH physicians, the TMH Emergency Center, and transferring providers and facilities
- Assists the Bed Management Team and the charge registered nurse in managing direct admits, transfers into the hospital, and emergency admissions
- Maintains accurate records of all patient transfer and admission communications
- Coordinates with multiple healthcare departments to ensure timely and efficient patient flow
- Provides exceptional customer service and support to patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Supports compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements related to patient admissions and transfers
