Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work 10:30am - 7:30pm, 5 days/week
  • Must be able to work every other Saturday
  • Prior experience as a cook (1-2 years preferred)
  • Ability to prepare high quality food for residents
  • Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Successful completion of food safety course as required by state/local guidelines
  • Completion of background check post-offer
  • Completion of pre-employment physical
  • Ability to push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of prior experience as a cook preferred
  • Successful completion of food safety course as required by state/local guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare high quality food
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with vendors
  • Ability to work effectively with staff and residents

Job Duties

  • Prepare various entrees and food items under the direction of the Dining Supervisor
  • Maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with State, Federal, and local regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Prepare high quality food for residents
  • Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors
  • Communicate effectively with staff and residents
  • Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines
