Job Requirements

  • minimum of 21 years of age
  • high school diploma, GED, or higher
  • fluency in English speaking, reading, writing, and understanding
  • previous customer service experience
  • availability for at least twenty days per month
  • ability to attend and successfully complete Initial Flight Attendant training and Operational Experience
  • maintain a personal cell phone at all times
  • ability to travel to Canada and maintain valid travel documents
  • willingness to work variable duty days including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • polished, professional, conservative appearance with no visible tattoos or body piercings while on duty
  • ability to multitask and perform under pressure
  • physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, stretch, or bend for up to 14 hours or more
  • pass drug and alcohol checks, pre-employment DOT drug test, and Criminal History Records Check
  • hold a valid U.S. passport not expiring within six months
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • participate in preflight briefings
  • produce reports
  • perform safety checks
  • prepare the aircraft
  • ensure food, beverages, and supplies are on board and delivered appropriately
  • collect payments and provide inventory for restocking
  • make announcements
  • greet customers
  • check boarding passes
  • answer passenger questions
  • assist with bag stowage
  • help passengers needing assistance
  • perform safety demonstrations
  • instruct customers on emergency equipment and exit row seating requirements
  • use audio equipment
  • walk aisles to verify compliance with federal regulations
  • conduct periodic checks for customer comfort
  • prepare customers and aircraft for landing
  • provide direction and assistance during in-flight emergencies
  • administer emergency first aid
  • complete injury or incident reports
  • submit required forms, reports, and paperwork
  • treat customers and vendors with courtesy and respect
  • perform additional assigned responsibilities
